We start with a selection of the best cowhides from the Pampas Grasslands of Brazil. Our rugs are never glued to any backing material; the reverse side is the natural soft suede that adheres perfectly to your floor without a rug pad. Due to the quality and natural characteristics of Pure cowhides, our Patchwork rugs are naturally stain-repellent and extremely durable.

Use & Care

Due to the nature of cowhides, Pure Cowhide Rugs are highly resistant to staining. Our rugs are very easy to clean and maintain. Remove dust by vacuuming on a low setting or shaking out your rug to preserve the natural characteristics of the material. Liquid substances will rarely penetrate the hide. Most spills float above the hair long enough to be easily wiped with a damp sponge with mild soap and warm water. With substantial foot traffic, some areas may thin over time so rotating your rug every few years is suggested.
